Open Targets scores how strongly each gene is linked to each disease, with the evidence behind it.
The Open Targets Platform scores how strongly each gene is linked to each disease and exposes the evidence behind the score, integrating genetics, expression, literature and drug data into target-disease associations. It also carries ChEMBL drug data, safety liabilities, tractability assessments and the Open Targets Genetics results. The platform is a partnership of EMBL-EBI, the Wellcome Sanger Institute, GSK, Sanofi, BMS, Pfizer and Genentech, released as open data under CC0. On OnCo it is filed under AI-driven drug and target discovery and is cited by the bottlenecks The undruggable drivers, No incentive to repurpose cheap drugs and The valley of death between lab and product, and by ideas such as A target de-risking index that counts failures as well as successes.
Open-source projects that are the code behind this collection or publish it, from OnCo's own catalogue: licence and last activity as the repository reported them on the day of the fetch. Listing is not endorsement; check the licence before reuse and the validation before clinical use.
