Co-created CIViC, the open database of what cancer mutations mean, and the pVACtools neoantigen pipeline.
Malachi Griffith is Associate Professor of Medicine and Genetics and Assistant Director of the McDonnell Genome Institute at Siteman Cancer Center, Washington University. With Obi Griffith he co-created CIViC, the open community database of what cancer mutations mean, and the pVACtools neoantigen prediction pipeline. His selected paper describes CIViC as a community knowledgebase for expert crowdsourcing the clinical interpretation of variants in cancer. He now designs personalised neoantigen vaccine trials at WashU and continues to work on clinical genomics.
