Sudeep Gupta is Director of the Tata Memorial Centre in Mumbai, India's largest cancer centre, and Professor of Medical Oncology. A breast and gynaecologic medical oncologist, he leads the centre's programme of pragmatic, affordable trials, randomised studies designed for resource-limited settings that reach tens of thousands of new patients a year. His publications include the randomised trial of locoregional treatment of the primary tumour in metastatic breast cancer and the trial of peritumoral infiltration of local anaesthetic before surgery in early breast cancer. His interests span HR-positive, triple-negative and ovarian cancer, clinical trials and global oncology.
