Dawn Hershman is Group Co-Chair of the SWOG Cancer Research Network and Professor of Medicine and Epidemiology at Columbia University. A breast medical oncologist and health outcomes researcher, she co-chairs SWOG with Primo Lara and has led its cancer care delivery research and trials on chemotherapy-induced neuropathy and endocrine therapy adherence. Her papers include a JAMA randomised trial of acupuncture for aromatase inhibitor related joint pain in early-stage breast cancer and a Journal of Clinical Oncology cohort study of early discontinuation and nonadherence to adjuvant hormonal therapy. Her work spans triple-negative and HR-positive breast cancer, care delivery and survivorship.
