Developed in situ vaccination, turning a single injected lymphoma tumour into a vaccine against the rest.
Joshua Brody is Director of the Lymphoma Immunotherapy Program at The Mount Sinai Hospital and Tisch Cancer Institute. He is a haematologist-oncologist known for developing in situ vaccination, turning a single injected lymphoma tumour into a vaccine against the rest by combining Flt3L, radiation and a TLR agonist to induce systemic responses. His selected paper reports systemic clinical tumour regressions and potentiation of PD-1 blockade with in situ vaccination. He now leads bispecific antibody and CAR-T trials in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.
