Frederik Giesel co-developed FAPI PET imaging and now leads nuclear medicine in Düsseldorf.
Frederik Giesel is Director of Nuclear Medicine at University Hospital Düsseldorf, having previously worked at Heidelberg University Hospital within the NCT and DKFZ network. His specialisms are molecular imaging, FAPI PET and PSMA theranostics. He co-led the first-in-human FAPI PET studies in Heidelberg, and his Journal of Nuclear Medicine paper reported the biodistribution and preliminary dosimetry of two DOTA-containing FAP-targeting agents imaged with 68Ga-FAPI PET/CT. He continues to develop FAP-targeted imaging and therapy in Düsseldorf. His publications are listed on PubMed.
