Peter Bartenstein is a nuclear medicine head whose department is a leading European PSMA theranostics centre.
Peter Bartenstein is Director of the Department of Nuclear Medicine at LMU Klinikum München. His specialisms are nuclear medicine, PSMA theranostics and neuro-imaging. His department is a leading European centre for PSMA PET and lutetium-177 PSMA radioligand therapy, and it co-developed 177Lu-PSMA-I&T. His papers include a dosimetry study of 177Lu-DKFZ-PSMA-617 as a new radiopharmaceutical for metastatic prostate cancer, the first clinical results of 18F-SiFAlin-TATE PET for imaging neuroendocrine tumours, and a European Urology study showing that 68Ga-PSMA PET/CT accurately stages lymph node regions before dissection in prostate cancer. His publications are listed on PubMed.
