Pawel Kalinski is an immunologist reprogramming tumour microenvironments so T cells can enter.
Pawel Kalinski is Vice Chair for Translational Research in the Department of Medicine and Chief of Translational Immuno-Oncology at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. He is an immunologist known for reprogramming tumour microenvironments so that T cells can enter, developing chemokine-modulating regimens that combine interferon, TLR3 agonists and COX-2 inhibition, alongside dendritic cell vaccines. His selected paper reviews chemokine modulation to enhance T cell infiltration of tumours. He continues to work on converting immune-excluded tumours to respond to checkpoint inhibitors.
