Built the genome institute behind Samsung Medical Center's precision oncology programme and its single-cell studies of tumours.
Woong-Yang Park is Director of the Samsung Genome Institute and Professor of Molecular Cell Biology at Samsung Medical Center in Seoul. He built the genome institute behind the hospital's precision oncology programme, which runs clinical sequencing and produces single-cell and spatial studies of lung, breast and gastric tumours that underpin its precision oncology trials. His publications include a single-cell RNA sequencing study demonstrating the molecular and cellular reprogramming of metastatic lung adenocarcinoma. His interests are cancer genomics, single-cell sequencing and precision oncology platforms.
