A gastric cancer trialist who pioneered biomarker-driven umbrella trials in Korea and helped bring HER2 and Claudin 18.2 agents to Asian patients.
Jeeyun Lee is Professor of Medical Oncology at Samsung Medical Center in Seoul, working in gastrointestinal cancer and precision oncology. She pioneered biomarker-driven umbrella trials in Korea, and her group runs molecularly stratified trials in gastric and other gastrointestinal cancers, including the VIKTORY umbrella trial. She has been an investigator on gastric cancer studies of zolbetuximab, which targets Claudin 18.2, of the HER2-directed antibody zanidatamab, and of pembrolizumab, helping to bring these agents to Asian patients. Her publications include the VIKTORY report on using tumour genomic profiling to guide patients with metastatic gastric cancer to targeted treatment.
