A medical oncologist who co-leads Tata Memorial's lung cancer trials and built India's geriatric oncology programme.
Vanita Noronha is Professor of Medical Oncology at Tata Memorial Hospital, part of the Tata Memorial Centre in Mumbai, working in geriatric oncology and lung cancer. She co-leads the hospital's lung cancer trials and co-led the trial of gefitinib with or without pemetrexed and carboplatin chemotherapy in EGFR-mutant lung cancer. She also built India's geriatric oncology programme, establishing a geriatric oncology clinic and research programme based on geriatric assessment. Her interests are lung cancer, geriatric oncology, head and neck cancer and clinical trials.
