You Lu is Professor of Thoracic Oncology at West China Hospital, Sichuan University, where he leads thoracic oncology. He ran the first clinical trial of CRISPR-edited T cells in humans, a first-in-human study of PD-1-edited T cells in patients with lung cancer, alongside research in lung cancer radiotherapy and immunotherapy. His publications include the report on the safety and feasibility of CRISPR-edited T cells in patients with refractory non-small-cell lung cancer. His interests are lung cancer, radiation oncology, CRISPR-edited and engineered T cells, and immunotherapy.
