Yoon-Koo Kang is Professor of Medical Oncology at Asan Medical Center in Seoul, specialising in gastric cancer and gastrointestinal stromal tumours. He led ATTRACTION-2, which established the PD-1 antibody nivolumab in late-line gastric cancer in Asia, and SPOTLIGHT, which established zolbetuximab as the first Claudin 18.2-directed therapy, two of the defining gastric cancer studies of the decade. His publications include the ATTRACTION-2 trial of nivolumab in heavily pretreated gastric or gastro-oesophageal junction cancer and the SPOTLIGHT trial of zolbetuximab plus mFOLFOX6 in Claudin 18.2-positive disease. He also led imatinib and other KIT-directed GIST studies.
