Sun Young Rha is Professor of Medical Oncology at Severance Hospital, Yonsei University, in Seoul, specialising in gastric cancer. She leads gastric cancer research at Yonsei Cancer Center and led the Korean arms of first-line immunotherapy and Claudin 18.2 studies, with principal or co-investigator roles in KEYNOTE-859 with pembrolizumab, in SPOTLIGHT and GLOW with zolbetuximab, and in HER2-directed trials. Her publications include the KEYNOTE-859 trial of pembrolizumab plus chemotherapy for HER2-negative advanced gastric cancer. Her interests are gastric cancer, immunotherapy, HER2 and clinical trials.
