Jürgen Debus is Head of Radiation Oncology at Heidelberg University Hospital and Director of the HIT Heidelberg Ion-Beam Therapy Center, working within the NCT and DKFZ network. His specialisms are particle therapy, carbon-ion radiotherapy and radiation oncology. He leads Europe's pioneering heavy-ion therapy centre, which delivers proton and carbon-ion treatment and runs the trials evaluating them.
