Computational oncologist who built open tools for interpreting tumour genomes and predicting response.
Eliezer M. Van Allen is Chief of the Division of Population Sciences at Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center and an Associate Member of the Broad Institute. He is a computational oncologist known for building open tools that interpret tumour genomes and predict response to treatment. His selected paper reports the genomic correlates of response to CTLA-4 blockade in metastatic melanoma. His laboratory, spanning Dana-Farber and the Broad, now studies genomic determinants of therapeutic response and resistance in melanoma and prostate cancer, and builds open clinical interpretation and decision-support tools.
