Douglas Hawkins is Group Chair of the Children's Oncology Group (COG) and Professor of Pediatrics at Seattle Children's and the University of Washington, with ties to Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. A paediatric oncologist specialising in bone and soft-tissue sarcomas, he led COG Ewing sarcoma trials and has chaired the Children's Oncology Group since 2020. His papers include a Journal of Clinical Oncology review of current management and collaborative future approaches in Ewing sarcoma and a COG report that adding vincristine and irinotecan to standard chemotherapy did not improve outcome in intermediate-risk rhabdomyosarcoma.
