Debu Tripathy is Chair of the Department of Breast Medical Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center and editor-in-chief of the journal Cancer. A breast medical oncologist specialising in endocrine therapy and clinical trials, he was principal investigator of MONALEESA-7, the phase 3 trial of ribociclib plus endocrine therapy in premenopausal women with hormone-receptor-positive advanced breast cancer, and is a leader in HER2-directed and antibody-drug conjugate trials. His papers report the MONALEESA-7 trial in Lancet Oncology and its overall survival analysis in the New England Journal of Medicine. He leads one of the largest breast medical oncology departments, working on CDK4/6 and the oestrogen receptor.
