Miniprotein alpha-radiopharmaceutical company; the first biotech IPO of 2026 (~$365M) funds Ac-225 programmes against Nectin-4 and B7-H3.
Aktis Oncology, based in Boston and listed as AKTS, is a miniprotein alpha-radiopharmaceutical company whose IPO, closed on 12 January 2026 for about 365 million dollars, was the first biotech IPO of the year and funds actinium-225 programmes against Nectin-4 and B7-H3. Its lead, 225Ac-AKY-1189 against Nectin-4, is in a US phase 1b; 225Ac-AKY-2519 against B7-H3 has an IND planned for the first half of 2026 after diagnostic imaging and dosimetry studies; an in-house cGMP radiopharmaceutical facility is due in the second half of 2026; and large pharma investors back it. OnCo links it to bladder, small-cell lung and prostate cancer, to targeted alpha therapy and alpha-emitter nanogenerators, and to Nectin-4 and B7-H3 as targets. Whether miniproteins can deliver alpha emitters safely is the open question. The targeted alpha therapy page carries the field.
