The National Brain Tumor Society is the largest US brain tumour nonprofit. It co-founded GBM AGILE, the adaptive platform trial that has enrolled more than 1,500 glioblastoma patients across several drug arms at once, funds research collaboratives, and lobbies the FDA on endpoints for brain tumours.
Formed 2008 (merger of the Brain Tumor Society and the National Brain Tumor Foundation). NBTS funds research collaboratives, co-founded the Global Coalition for Adaptive Research (GBM AGILE, which has enrolled >1,500 patients across regorafenib, paxalisib, VAL-083 and other arms, reporting the first results 2023-24), convenes the Brain Tumor Investment Fund, and leads advocacy (e.g. Head to the Hill, DIPG/DMG legislation). Patient resources include a personalised support and navigation programme.
