Kesem runs free summer camps for children whose mum or dad has cancer, staffed by college student volunteers across the US.
Children of parents with cancer carry a burden that cancer services rarely address. Kesem, which began as Camp Kesem at Stanford, runs free week-long summer camps and year-round activities for these children through university chapters nationwide, staffed by trained student volunteers. Camps are free to families and funded by donations.
