Overview

CancerCare has provided free professional support since 1944. Its staff are licensed oncology social workers who offer individual counselling, run support groups by phone and online, and help with practical problems such as transport and child care through small grants. Its Hopeline is free, and its publications and workshops are open to anyone. Financial assistance is limited to specific needs and is means-tested.
