Thomas Bachelot is Head of Medical Oncology at Centre Léon Bérard in Lyon, part of the UNICANCER network. His specialisms are breast cancer, brain metastases and endocrine therapy. He led LANDSCAPE, the trial of lapatinib with capecitabine for brain metastases, and the TAMRAD and PADA-1 collaborations within UNICANCER's breast group. His papers include the GINECO randomised phase II trial of everolimus combined with tamoxifen in hormone receptor-positive metastatic breast cancer after aromatase inhibitors, the BELLE-3 phase 3 trial of buparlisib plus fulvestrant after mTOR inhibition, and the PANACEA trial of pembrolizumab plus trastuzumab in trastuzumab-resistant HER2-positive breast cancer.
