Clifford Hudis is Chief Executive Officer of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), a role he has held since 2016, and was formerly Chief of the Breast Medicine Service at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. A breast oncologist, he served as ASCO president in 2013 to 2014 and now oversees the society's meetings, journals, guidelines and CancerLinQ. His papers include a New England Journal of Medicine review of trastuzumab's mechanism of action and clinical use and the STEEP proposal for standardised efficacy end point definitions in adjuvant breast cancer trials.
