Ananya Choudhury is a clinical oncologist developing biomarker-guided radiotherapy for bladder cancer.
Ananya Choudhury is Professor of Clinical Oncology at the University of Manchester and a consultant at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust. Her specialisms are bladder cancer radiotherapy, hypoxia biomarkers and radiobiology, using modern image-guided external beam techniques. She is known for developing biomarker-guided radiotherapy for bladder cancer, including hypoxia signatures that select patients for radiosensitisation. Her papers include an individual patient data meta-analysis of hypofractionated radiotherapy in the BC2001 and BCON trials, a phase II study of hypofractionated radiotherapy with concurrent gemcitabine in muscle-invasive bladder cancer, and a study of pre-treatment lymphocytopaenia as an adverse prognostic marker. Her publications are listed on PubMed.
