Overview
Endo International plc, an Irish-registered pharmaceutical company formed from Endo Pharmaceuticals in 1997, marketed specialty medicines and, through Par Pharmaceutical, generics and sterile injectables, including cancer supportive-care and chemotherapy products. Its own site records that Mallinckrodt and Endo merged, that the combined company spun off the generics and sterile injectables business as Par Health, and that the specialty company was renamed Keenova Therapeutics in November 2025. ClinicalTrials.gov lists Endo USA and Par Pharmaceutical as lead sponsors of phase 3 cancer trials. Endo Pharmaceuticals relaunched Valstar (valrubicin), the intravesical anthracycline for BCG-refractory bladder carcinoma in situ, in 2009, and its registered phase 3 cancer trials include valrubicin maintenance in non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer (NCT01310803, NCT01316874) and the Vantas histrelin implant against goserelin in prostate cancer (NCT01394263); Par ran phase 3 trials of megestrol acetate suspension for cancer-related anorexia and cachexia (NCT00637728, NCT00637806).
