3D Medicines is a Chinese biotechnology company that co-developed envafolimab, the first subcutaneous PD-L1 antibody, approved in China in 2021 for microsatellite instability-high solid tumours.
3D Medicines, headquartered in Sichuan with research in Shanghai and listed in Hong Kong since 2022, develops immuno-oncology antibodies. With Alphamab Oncology and Tracon it brought envafolimab (KN035), a single-domain PD-L1 antibody given by subcutaneous injection, to approval in China in November 2021 for previously treated MSI-high or dMMR advanced solid tumours, and it runs phase 3 trials of the drug in combination with chemotherapy. It appears on OnCo as a lead sponsor of phase 3 cancer trials on ClinicalTrials.gov.
Envafolimab is the first PD-L1 antibody given as a quick injection under the skin rather than an infusion, approved in China for advanced tumours with mismatch-repair deficiency.
