The anti-stroma antibody pamrevlumab did not help people with locally advanced pancreatic cancer live longer.
LAPIS randomised patients with locally advanced, unresectable pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma to pamrevlumab or placebo with either gemcitabine plus nab-paclitaxel or FOLFIRINOX, with the aim of increasing resection and survival. FibroGen reported in 2024 that the trial did not meet its primary overall survival endpoint.
