William Nelson is the long-time director of the Johns Hopkins cancer centre and a prostate cancer epigenetics researcher.
William G. Nelson is Director of the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He is the long-time director of the Johns Hopkins cancer centre and a prostate cancer researcher whose work addresses epigenetic changes, including GSTP1 methylation, and inflammation in prostate carcinogenesis. He chairs the Scientific Advisory Committee of Stand Up To Cancer, which selects and oversees the charity's funded research teams. He continues to combine leadership of the Kimmel Cancer Center with research on prostate cancer epigenetics and prevention.
