A GI oncologist whose work on immunotherapy biomarkers and Chinese gastric cancer trials feeds global guidelines.
Feng Wang is Professor of Medical Oncology at Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center in Guangzhou. He leads gastrointestinal immunotherapy research at the centre, including biomarker analyses of response to PD-1 antibodies and Chinese trials of first-line immunochemotherapy in gastric cancer, and his work feeds global guidelines. His publications include a phase Ib/II study of toripalimab in chemo-refractory gastric cancer with tumour mutational burden as a biomarker, an evaluation of POLE and POLD1 mutations as biomarkers for immunotherapy across cancer types, and the Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology guidelines for gastric cancer. His interests are gastric cancer, colorectal cancer and immunotherapy biomarkers.
