Vincenzo Valentini is a radiation oncologist known for rectal cancer chemoradiation and outcome modelling.
Vincenzo Valentini is Professor of Radiation Oncology at the Università Cattolica and Policlinico Universitario A. Gemelli in Rome. His specialisms are radiation oncology, rectal cancer and predictive modelling, using modern image-guided external beam techniques. He led radiation oncology at Gemelli and contributed nomograms and trials in rectal cancer chemoradiotherapy. His papers include the second European Rectal Cancer Consensus Conference (EURECA-CC2) on multidisciplinary rectal cancer management, a pooled analysis of randomised trials on the timing needed to achieve the highest rate of pathological complete response after preoperative radiochemotherapy, and a review of online adaptive MR-guided radiotherapy for pancreatic cancer. His publications are listed on PubMed.
