Shunji Takahashi leads medical oncology and early-phase trials at Japan's oldest cancer institute.
Shunji Takahashi is Director of the Department of Medical Oncology at the Cancer Institute Hospital of JFCR, Japan's oldest cancer institute. He leads medical oncology and early-phase trials there, running phase 1 and rare-cancer studies, including sarcoma, and the hospital's genomic medicine programme built on comprehensive genomic profiling. His publications include a phase 1 study of the MDM2 inhibitor milademetan in Japanese patients with solid tumours, a phase 1 study of dasatinib in Japanese patients with solid tumours, and an integrated analysis of osteonecrosis of the jaw across three phase 3 trials in patients with bone metastases. His interests are phase 1 trials, rare cancers and genomic medicine.
