Neuroblastoma expert who built the international risk classification used to guide treatment.
Susan Cohn is Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Chicago and a neuroblastoma leader within the Children's Oncology Group (COG). A paediatric oncologist specialising in neuroblastoma and risk stratification, she chaired the International Neuroblastoma Risk Group task force that produced the INRG classification, the international risk classification used to guide treatment, and has long led the COG neuroblastoma committee. Her papers include the Journal of Clinical Oncology report of the INRG classification system from the task force and the Children's Oncology Group's 2013 blueprint for neuroblastoma research in Pediatric Blood & Cancer. Her work underpins how paediatric neuroblastoma is classified and treated.
