Steven Artandi is a telomerase biologist who directs Stanford's cancer institute.
Steven Artandi is Director of the Stanford Cancer Institute, a post he has held since 2019. A physician-scientist specialising in telomere biology and cancer stem cells, his laboratory studies telomerase regulation, telomere dysfunction and stem cells in cancer. His papers include a Carcinogenesis review of telomeres and telomerase in cancer and a Nature Reviews Molecular Cell Biology review of the regulation of human telomerase in homeostasis and disease.
