Led JULIET, which brought tisagenlecleucel, the first CAR-T, to adults with relapsed large B-cell lymphoma.
Stephen Schuster led the first trial of CTL019 (tisagenlecleucel) in lymphoma and was principal investigator of JULIET, the global trial that won its approval for relapsed or refractory DLBCL, and of the follow-up studies showing durable five-year remissions. He directs the lymphoma programme at Penn and continues to lead trials of next-generation CAR-T and bispecific antibodies.
