Selwyn M. Vickers is President and Chief Executive Officer of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, the world's top-ranked cancer hospital, a post he took in 2022. He is a surgeon-scientist and pancreatic surgeon who was previously dean of the UAB School of Medicine, with ties to the O'Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center at UAB. His research focused on pancreatic cancer biology and on disparities in cancer outcomes, and his selected paper addresses pancreatic cancer disparities in African Americans. He now leads MSK with a background in pancreatic surgery, health disparities and academic leadership.
