A melanoma pioneer who led the vemurafenib and cobimetinib trials and now heads Victoria's cancer alliance.
Grant McArthur is Executive Director of the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre Alliance and a melanoma medical oncologist at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne. He was a principal investigator for BRIM-3 and coBRIM, the trials that established BRAF inhibition with vemurafenib and combined BRAF and MEK inhibition with cobimetinib in melanoma. His publications include the extended follow-up of vemurafenib in BRAF V600E and V600K mutation-positive melanoma from BRIM-3. He has led translational programmes on resistance and on combining targeted therapy with immunotherapy, and now heads Victoria's cancer alliance.
