Hagen Kennecke is SWOG Executive Officer for Gastrointestinal and Melanoma and Professor at Oregon Health & Science University. A medical oncologist specialising in gastrointestinal oncology and rectal cancer, his work focuses on rectal and colorectal cancer trials, including total neoadjuvant therapy studies. His papers include the primary end point results of the phase II NEO trial (CCTG CO.28) of neoadjuvant chemotherapy, excision and observation for early rectal cancer in the Journal of Clinical Oncology, and an earlier study of the metastatic behaviour of breast cancer subtypes.
