Francisca Vazquez leads DepMap, the public map of which genes each cancer cell line cannot live without.
Francisca Vazquez is Director of the Cancer Dependency Map at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. She leads DepMap, the public map of which genes each cancer cell line cannot live without, integrating genome-wide CRISPR and drug screens across more than 1,000 cell lines to reveal synthetic-lethal targets. Her selected paper defines a cancer dependency map. She continues to direct this functional genomics resource, which the field uses to find new cancer dependencies.
