Led KEYNOTE-052 and IMvigor210 cohort 1, establishing first-line immunotherapy for cisplatin-ineligible bladder cancer.
Arjun Balar led KEYNOTE-052 and the cisplatin-ineligible cohort of IMvigor210, the studies that gave pembrolizumab and atezolizumab their first-line approvals in urothelial cancer for patients who cannot receive cisplatin, and KEYNOTE-057 in BCG-unresponsive non-muscle-invasive disease. He continues to lead combination and bladder-preservation trials at NYU.
