Baltimore gynaecologic oncologist who led the trial showing that adding trastuzumab to chemotherapy helps women with HER2-positive uterine serous carcinoma, an aggressive form of endometrial cancer.
Amanda Nickles Fader is a gynaecologic oncologist at Johns Hopkins. She was first author of the 2018 Journal of Clinical Oncology report of the randomised phase 2 trial in which adding trastuzumab to carboplatin and paclitaxel lengthened progression-free survival in advanced or recurrent HER2/neu-positive uterine serous carcinoma, a result that entered guidelines. Her research also covers minimally invasive surgery and rare gynaecological cancers.
