The joint official journal of the International and Japanese Gastric Cancer Associations, devoted to stomach cancer. Read by gastrointestinal surgeons, oncologists and pathologists, particularly in East Asia where the disease is common.
Gastric Cancer is the joint official journal of the International Gastric Cancer Association and the Japanese Gastric Cancer Association, published by Springer under a hybrid publishing model. Its aims state that it publishes significant studies related to stomach neoplasms and welcomes original articles, case reports, short communications and technical notes peer-reviewed by the editorial board, plus Letters to the Editor; review articles are in principle solicited by the Editor and meeting reports summarise symposia or consensus from the associations' congresses. The NLM Catalog records a start in 1998 with Springer-Verlag Tokyo and MEDLINE indexing.
