Mount Vernon Cancer Centre in Northwood, Middlesex, is a specialist non-surgical cancer centre run by East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust, providing radiotherapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy and brachytherapy for a population spanning north-west London, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire. Its site was home to the Gray Laboratory, one of the world's leading radiobiology laboratories, and it retains a strong research tradition in radiotherapy trials, including landmark UK breast and prostate radiotherapy fractionation studies, together with the Paul Strickland Scanner Centre for imaging research.
