Osara Health pairs people with cancer with a personal health coach by phone, text and app to help with fatigue, sleep, exercise and returning to work. Insurers and employers pay for it.
Osara Health, founded in Sydney in 2016 as CancerAid by radiation oncologist Raghav Murali-Ganesh and Tim Atkins, delivers its Cancer Coach programme through insurers and employers. It combines behaviour change science, one to one telehealth coaching and a mobile app for symptom tracking, with a survivorship module added in 2026. Customers include MetLife, Manulife, Guardian, Allstate Benefits, AIA and nib across the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, covering more than 11 million lives. It cites more than 11 peer reviewed studies; a 2026 JMIR Cancer paper in 89 participants reported PROMIS-10 physical and mental health gains of 4.4 and 4.6 points, and Swiss Re validated a 25 to 1 return on investment for cancer rehabilitation using mostly Osara data. Recent press releases carry a New York dateline. No funding round or investor could be sourced.
