Overview
LYSA was formed in 2012 by merging GELA (founded 1984) and GOELAMS; LYSARC is its academic research organisation. GELA's LNH-98.5 was the trial that added rituximab to CHOP and changed the outcome of DLBCL worldwide, and PRIMA established rituximab maintenance in follicular lymphoma. LYSA co-ran POLARIX (polatuzumab-R-CHP) and leads trials of bispecific antibodies, CAR-T sequencing and PET-guided therapy across France, Belgium and Portugal. It maintains a national lymphoma pathology review network (Lymphopath) and the REALYSA real-world cohort.

A clean example of a progression-free survival benefit that did not become a survival benefit. Lenalidomide maintenance did not become standard practice after this trial, and the figures are the reason.
