Benjamin Solomon is Professor of Medical Oncology and Head of Lung Medical Oncology at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne. He led the PROFILE 1014 and CROWN trials, which established crizotinib and then lorlatinib as treatments for ALK-positive non-small-cell lung cancer, and CROWN produced the longest disease control recorded for a targeted lung cancer pill. His publications include the five-year outcomes of lorlatinib against crizotinib in advanced ALK-positive disease. He directs thoracic medical oncology and lung cancer research at Peter Mac, with interests in ALK inhibitors, targeted therapy and clinical trials.
