Michael Teitell is Director of the UCLA Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, a post he has held since 2015. A pathologist and physician-scientist specialising in cancer metabolism and lymphoma biology, his laboratory studies metabolism, mitochondrial function and lymphomagenesis. His papers include a Cell Stem Cell review of metabolic regulation in pluripotent stem cells during reprogramming and self-renewal and an EMBO Journal study showing that UCP2 regulates energy metabolism and differentiation potential of human pluripotent stem cells.
