Michael Hallek is Director of Department I of Internal Medicine at University Hospital Cologne (CIO) and Head of the German CLL Study Group. His specialisms are chronic lymphocytic leukaemia, chemoimmunotherapy and targeted therapy trials, with a focus on BCL-2 and CD20. He led CLL8, which established the FCR regimen, CLL14, the New England Journal of Medicine trial of venetoclax and obinutuzumab in patients with CLL and coexisting conditions, and CLL13/GAIA.
