Jonas Bergh is a breast oncologist and long-standing leader of Swedish and European breast cancer trials.
Jonas Bergh is Professor of Oncology at Karolinska Institutet and a senior physician at Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm. His specialisms are breast cancer, adjuvant therapy and dose-dense chemotherapy. He has co-led trials of dose-dense chemotherapy and tailored adjuvant therapy within the Swedish Breast Cancer Group and the Early Breast Cancer Trialists' Collaborative Group. His papers include the New England Journal of Medicine report of pembrolizumab for early triple-negative breast cancer, an analysis of long-term breast cancer recurrence risk after stopping endocrine therapy at five years, and a study from the EORTC 10994/BIG 1-00 trial of pathological complete response after neoadjuvant chemotherapy across intrinsic subtypes.
