Polish medical oncologist and sarcoma specialist who serves as President of the Organisation of European Cancer Institutes.
Iwona Ługowska is President of the Organisation of European Cancer Institutes (OECI), the network that runs the European accreditation and designation programme for cancer centres. She is a medical oncologist based in Poland whose clinical and research work focuses on soft-tissue sarcoma and early-phase drug development. In the OECI role she leads the board that sets the organisation's quality and collaboration agenda across European cancer institutes.
